Writing and Editing

I specialise in writing and editing magazine features and consumer information on a wide range of health topics and lifestyle issues. I have worked on a freelance basis for magazines, websites, publishers, charities, organisations and companies.

Between 2017 and 2018, I updated the bestselling baby healthcare book Your Baby Week by Week by Dr Caroline Fertleman and Simone Cave for Ebury/Vermilion. My own health book, Allergies: A Parent’s Guide, was published by Need2Know Books in 2009.

I have a BSc. in Biomedical Science from King’s College London and an MSc. in Science Communication from Imperial College London.

The Redeemer was shortlisted for Best Debut Crime Novel of 2022 in the Crime Fiction Lover Awards 2022. The Associate is the Editor’s Choice Winner of Best Indie Crime Novel of 2023 in the Crime Fiction Lover Awards 2023. In September 2019, The Redeemer received an Honourable Mention in the DHH Literary Agency New Voices Award 2019.

I am a member of the Guild of Health Writers, the Medical Journalists’ Association and the Society of Authors. I am also a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and The Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi).
